Sponsors Overview
For most community clubs, the generosity of sponsors is part of the lifeblood of their existence. It can feel like you're constantly chasing your tail though, constantly attracting sponsorship and trying to ensure that they get as much value as possible out of the arrangement.
With Majestri, you get a chance to showcase your valuable commercial supporters to your member base and beyond. This article talks through the configuring of your sponsors, as well as some of the features that will allow you to put them front and centre.
Design Philosophies
We're going to toot our own horn just a little bit to start with.....
Other systems on the market for clubs (normally systems being pushed down by peak bodies) give each affiliate organisation a "free" website, but as we know nowadays, nothing much is free. One of the best quotes we've seen says:
"If you're not paying for the product, then you are the product."
This is normally the case when you are given a free website. It's not unusual for this type of site to be absolutely littered with huge, distracting banner ads for corporate sponsors, completely drowning out any local businesses you'd like to promote. Some offerings give you the ability to pay a nominal amount to remove corporate sponsors, and that's fine, but we've decided that your valuable local support should be exclusive in promotional real estate on your site. We will never go down the path of plastering advertisements on your public Majestri site - we just don't believe in it.
Our main goal is for the relationship between our clubs and their sponsors to be "win-win". We want our system to be the vehicle that rewards both parties in such an agreement.
Setting up Sponsors
As with all things related to the public website, you can access your sponsor configuration function via the Content tab in the Control Room, and you'll see a whole panel devoted to Sponsors.
Click on the Sponsors button to see the Sponsors Overview screen.
Sponsor Tiers
Out of the box, we provide 4 tiers of sponsor. In order of biggest contributors to smallest, the tiers are:
- Platinum
- Gold
- Silver
- Bronze
If your club has a very specific set of sponsorship tiers, then please get in touch with us at support@majestri.com.au and we can customise these tiers to suit your needs.
Web Page Display
Once your sponsors are configured, then we display them on the right-hand gutter of every page on your club website (the gutter can be removed per page in your Page Settings).
As part of the control we give you over your sponsors, you are able to set how many sponsors should appear at any one time in that gutter.
If the number of total sponsors exceeds that pre-set number, then we randomly select the sponsors to show.
Sponsor Roulette
