Setting up your Organisation Email accounts with Majestri

Please Note: Majestri no longer offers hosted email.

How do I create organisation email addresses (e.g. president@myorg.com.au)?

You have the choice as to whether Majestri will host your organisation's email accounts.  If your email is hosted by another provider (eg. Google), then you can ignore this section.

You can set-up your organisation's email accounts (e.g. president@myorg.com.au) from within the Control Room, via the 'Web Site' Tab, under 'Email Accounts'.

An email account can be a full-blown mailbox, or be set-up to simply forward emails received to one or more personal email address(es).  This short video shows you how:

How do I access our organisation email?

When your email is hosted with Majestri, you have the option to set-up your organisation email in the existing mail client you are used to using, for all email addresses that are mailboxes, not just forwarders.  This includes email clients like Outlook, Windows Live MailMac OS X Mail, iOS Mail (iPhone, iPad) and GMail, to name a few common ones.

As a fallback, we also provide a simple WebMail client that can be accessed at webmail.myorg.com.au (where myorg.com.au is your organisation's domain name).  This email client is not as feature-rich as many of the other email clients mentioned above, but is handy in a pinch.

How do I setup my existing GMail account to work with my organisation email?

  1. Log into your GMail account, and go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to Accounts > Send mail as > Add another email address you own.
  3. Enter your name and full organisation email address (eg. president@myorg.com.au).
  4. It's up to you, but generally we suggest you uncheck the Treat as an alias checkbox.
  5. Click Next Step.
  6. You will then be asked whether you wish to Send through Gmail or Send through your organisations SMTP server.  You can choose either option, however for simplicities, we suggest using Send through GMail.
  7. If you choose Send through GMail, you should click on Send Veritication, which will send an email to the organisation email address you have just setup, which will include a code that GMail will use to verify that you do indeed own the email address you have just setup.
  8. If you choose Send through myorg.com.au SMTP servers, then enter an SMTP Server of mail.myorg.com.au, Port 25, Username is your full organisation email address (eg. president@myorg.com.au), Password is your email password.
  9. Click on Save Changes.
